Jeep Patriot - HOW TO RECHARGE / REFILL A/C AIR CONDITIONING BY YOURSELF

Описание: Step-by-step guide on refilling / recharging AC Air Conditioning by yourself on Jeep Patriot SUV. This can be a quick DIY project once you have a/c recharge kit (hose with a gauge and a/c refrigerant cans).

To start charging the a/c system first you want to connect a/c refrigerant can to one side of the a/c recharge hose and connect other side of the hose to the a/c low pressure charging port. Then pierce the can by turning the knob on top of it all the way in. Now start the vehicle and turn on the air conditioner. Set the fan speed to the highest setting.

Slowly start releasing the knob on top of the can. This will charge the a/c system. Make sure to keep monitoring the gauge because you don't want to overcharge it as that may damage the a/c compressor. Once you are done and happy with the results turn off the vehicle and disconnect everything.

All this will work in case there is no major leaks in a/c lines and a/c compressor is properly working. In case of a leak you will have to take the vehicle to a professional mechanical shop for a proper diagnostics and repair.

In case of a small a/c leak you can try using product similar to a/c stop leak which will stop and seal small leaks.
