Bernadett Nagy and Maria Valverde perform "The authors abstract of melancholy, Διαλογῶς" in Solti Hall (Budapest) on the 4th May, 2021., composed by Csenge Mihalicza.
This piece is inspired in Robert Burton's book: The Anatomy of Melancholy. It is shaped in twelve verses which show differents perspectives of melancholy (miserably and unpleased, pleased, terrified as possible, etc.) and which end up in a dramatic final with the suicide of the character. All and each one of the verses are framed by a final formular which slightly changes depending on the verse:
"All my joys to this are folly,
Naught so sweet as melancholy."
