When Imam Hussain (R.A.), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, was martyred unjustly in Karbala, Allah’s justice did not remain silent.
An authentic narration tells us: after the Jews killed Prophet Zakariya (A.S.), 70,000 were killed as divine punishment. Likewise, after Karbala, 140,000 people from Kufa and Syria were killed in two phases:

⚔️ Phase 1: Mukhtar bin Ubayd’s campaign — 70,000 Yazid supporters killed.
⚔️ Phase 2: By order of Abbasid ruler Abdullah Al-Saffah — another 70,000 killed.

✅ Disrespect invites Allah’s wrath, just like the cursed nations before us.

The Prophet ﷺ also warned against entering cursed lands. Passing by the ruins of Thamud, he instructed his companions to cover their faces and move quickly — fearing a similar punishment.
