I took time out on a ride to Jindabyne to visit Lake Cobbler and the Dandongadale Falls, it was an unexpected delight, the longest waterfall in Victoria at 255 metres was surprisingly great.
I can understand why this place is not very well known or regularly visited, there are no signs telling you where to walk to see the falls. So unless you have done some research before you leave, you'll be none the wiser to its existence.
Lake Cobbler is also a pleasant surprise, sitting on top of the mountain range, it was created in the 1960s when someone, maybe the government, decided to dam the nearby Dandongadale River, turning an existing swamp into Lake Cobbler.
