Matheran is just 90 km from Mumbai..It is the only hill station where pollution causing vehicles are prohibited.
We travelled from Neral Railway station to Aman Lodge railway station by toy train. Toy train is a very famous tourist attraction in Matheran.
This video was shot on 21 nov 2022.
Following are the activities that we did as part of this day tour.
Neral is well connected with the central line railway station of Mumbai, one can board the karjat local and get down at Nergal.
1.Travel from Neral to Aman Lodge station.
2.We did this journey via Toy Train which is 10 km.
3.Ticket price for toy train are as follows
Deluxe Saloon - Rs 1500
Vistadome Coach - Rs 655
First class coach - Rs 305(Adult) Rs 180(Child)
Second class coach - Rs 75(Adult) Rs 45(child)
4.We stayed in MTDC Matheran which cost us Rs.4032(without breakfast).
5.At night after dinner we went to Alexander Point for Star Gazing.
