Every day i take the ash out form the wood fire and then go and water the plant as usual.it's very soothing to see the green plants and colourful flowers...so when i finished watering.i saw some velvet beans on the wins.which needed to be pluced.these seeds were given to us by one of our uncle.
it took few months for the wins to grow without much need of water or gertilizer.but when the purple colour flowers started and bloom,it was a very pleasurable feeling.there areabout 20 to 30 flowers in one bud and so rapidly they grow.
we had a good harvest.so a little i used to cook for breakfast.these tender buds can cook without deseeded as well.
if you want you can boil them and get the seeds too.i just deseeded them as usual,the bad thing is your hands get dirty with the juice.my kids help me too.then i made a cury with spices and coconut milk.it's better than cashewnut curry.
yesterday i bought some thin roast bread for breakfast,so i made a tender coconut sambol with bornt chillies which really matched well with the bean curry.it didn't take that long to finish all the bread and the curry and the sambol.i have heard this velvet beans are full of protin and over eating is not very good so didn't want to overpass.
so on another day i made a soup with velvet beans and too some for my parents too, and my kids as well.it was raining and the soup came as blessing,if you people like these beans i have seeds which could be posted
