TLoZ: Link's Awakening #8 - Face Shrine

Описание: In this episode we first do a little bit of side questing now that we have the Hook Shoot. This includes finishing the trade sequence to obtain the Magnifying Glass, as well as some other minor things.

We then go over to the South Face Shrine to obtain the Face Key, which we need to open the Face Shrine up at the north. It's in the southern shrine that we learn something a bit worrying: the entire land of Koholint is but a dream, and that dream will end if the Wind Fish wakes up.

That's why the nightmares are so hostile: they want the dream to never end so they can continue causing mischief forever. It's fitting then that the music over at the Face Shrine is so, melancholic... Of course, it's not clear if everything will disappear along with the island, but now Link must also consider the weight and consequences of waking the Wind Fish up.

The Face Shrine is a more typical "temple" type dungeon, with carved walls and a bit of a dreamy aesthetic. The item here is the level 2 Power Bracelet, which now allows us to manipulate heavier items.

The main boss of the dungeon is the very fitting Facade. A literal face in the floor that acts more like a type of poltergeist than a proper physical monster. Link can make quick work of him by laying bombs on its face.

Defeating Facade earns us the Coral Triangle.
