"When we open our eyes from our sleep, serenity is suddenly shattered as we face the battles of our daily life.

Every day, we face so many adversities, so many challenges, so many struggles. Sometimes, we feel that the world is against us or the stars will never align for us to realize our aspirations, our dreams, our hopes.

Race versus race,
Religion against religion,
Ideology attacking another ideology,
Covid 19 and the never dying war for equality and justice. These are just some of the most relevant conflicts that my country; The Philippines and the whole world is confronting each passing day.

My country is a beautiful archipelago but behind the picturesque sceneries and the smiling faces, turmoil and shadows of doubts keep haunting every Filipino, tarnishing our pride and shattering our spirits. All these awakened the nationalism in me that is why I am here to serve as a voice of hope, to be an echo of change and a beacon of peace.

I want to be remembered as someone who advocates for peace, as a person who believes in humanity. Kindness, respect and love will always reign in my heart and in the hearts of my countrymen because we are of the same blood. The blood of a Filipino who is proud of her country; the blood of resilience, the blood of a fighter, the blood of the strong and courageous people.
