Cole Tomas Allen, 31, bought a shotgun from Turner’s Outdoorsman in Torrance and a semi-automatic pistol from CAP Tactical Firearms in Lawndale.

Allen traveled cross-country by rail and stayed at the Washington Hilton before the attack, and his exact targets and motives weren’t clear.

Allen faces two federal charges and additional charges are expected, with a scheduled arraignment in federal court in Washington.
