Students of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Vocational Education Institute in Rayagada have staged a protest after serious allegations of misconduct were raised against a mathematics lecturer.

According to reports, the lecturer allegedly misbehaved with a first-year diploma student, and students claim that the institute attempted to cover up the incident. In response, hundreds of students gathered at the institute gate demanding justice and immediate action against the accused.

The accused lecturer has denied the charges, stating it may have happened “unintentionally.”
Meanwhile, police forces, the Tahasildar, and SDPO have reached the spot to maintain order as the situation turned tense.
