The Grossglockner High Alpine Road isn't a main North - South connection anymore , It;s replaced by highways leading through tunnels.So even at the end of holiday season we faced very few traffic
The smooth descent on a wide road in beautifully landscape to Heiligenblut was a recreational experience after a long day driving from Passau in Germany . We still continued to Matrei but it's been allready too late and dark for suitable footage.
We'll take now a two days brake in a nice hotel and will go on to the Italian Dolomites when the sun is back
