MNSF 1970 International 826 Hold Demonstrator Tractor Spotlight

Описание: This International 826 Farmall was purchased new from Dorman Implement in Truro, IA by Larry Beeler Sr. of Peru, IA. The "8", as the family called it, was put to use completing all row crop and hay making operations on their combination row crop and cow / calf operation farm for more than fifty years. Larry and his two siblings have vivid memories of grinding countless bushels of ear corn and riding on the fenders with "Dad" to pull weeds missed by the cultivator. Four generations of Beeler's have learned to drive and use this tractor and the family looks forward to future generations continuing using the International 826. In order to ensure that this is possible, Larry (Jr), worked with Lee J. Sackett, Inc. to restore the tractor. Larry had met Lee at the Iowa State Fair and after several conversations, decided to start by having Lee and his crew do some mechanical repairs to the tractor. One of the more challenging items was to rebuild the tilt steering column. Parts for the tilt steering columns are difficult (and expensive) to find, but Lee's team was able to repair some of the components and purchase others to put the steering column back to "like new" condition. There were also many leaks that needed to be repaired. Several parts were sent out to be re-chromed during the repair process as well. Once this list of work was completed, Lee's team put together an estimate to paint the tractor. After making some adjustments to the estimate with Larry, he approved the cosmetic restoration. This included repairing all the sheet metal and sand blasting and painting every component of the tractor. Once everything was painted, the team carefully reassembled the tractor. After assembly, some testing and adjusting was required, followed by new decals and touch-up paint. The tractor made its debut at the 2025 Red Power Round-Up Show.
