AMT #1 prominently features musician U.R.S., who seems to have enjoyed the show.
John sings the verse to “Something” from the “Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil” era, and he would go on to sing them in slight variations at all concerts up to and including 2002-04-27 Barbican.
John's intro to "Broccoli": “This is about ancestor worship. It’s about remembering all your ancestors, the people who came before you in your bloodline on your parents’ side, your mother, and your father, and taking the time each day to just draw on the energy and strength that they’ve given you because that’s why you are here. That you are, you are the tip on the pinnacle of these antlers, these two sides of the family, so ‘Broccoli.’ And of course, antlers, they pull down all known energy from the universe. Everyone knows that, don’t they? For my mother and my father, who I don’t get on with, but for my mother and my father anyway.”
For the first few minutes of "Sick Mirrors," John beatboxes and whistles into the microphone, which is the only time I believe he ever does the former on any live song ever. This is the second shortest performance of the song, clocking in at about 10 minutes – all other versions henceforth reach closer to 13-14 minutes. For reference, these lyrics drastically differ from the previous version’s, though a few lines from the previous version would show up in future performances.
“Backwards / The Remote Viewer” phase. "Anarcadia" tour.
