Go to www.oregonrn.org/Unity and follow the 'Action Alert' instructions to let Oregon's Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) know you believe workers' rights must be respected and that Legacy and other hospitals must be held to the same break laws as everyone else.
Legacy Health has been fined more than $5 million by BOLI for repeatedly denying health care workers' breaks. Instead of changing its practices to better support workers and patients, Legacy and other Oregon hospitals are trying to change Oregon’s Meal and Rest Periods laws so they can write their own rules.
If safe, fair meal and rest breaks are important you, it's time to speak up against Legacy's proposal. Thanks in advance for supporting safe, fair breaks for health care workers!
