In this video I discuss the implications of the ARRIVE Trial and the option of elective induction of labor at 39 weeks. I discuss the risks and benefits of an elective induction to help shed light on the idea that it could be “risk-reducing.” I also go over some details of the ARRIVE Trial study that potentially decrease its ability to be generalized to the average first time mom in the U.S.
