War Thunder - The Centurion Mk 3 (Fully Stabilized APDS at 6.7!)

Описание: The Centurion Mk 3 is a British 6.7 medium tank, that comes equipped with a fully stabilized 84mm 20 pounder cannon, which fires a decent AP shell, and a 285mm max pen APDS shell. With the APDS, you can punch straight through the UFP of a Tiger 2 from a thousand meters away. At its' BR, the APDS is able to penetrate any tank it comes across, even the Jadgtiger. Plus, the reload rate is quite rapid, at 8.1 seconds stock, and an incredible 6.3 seconds aced! However, while the reload, stabilizer and great shell are fantastic traits, this vehicle has quite a few negative things about it. To start, the mobility is absolutely horrendous. Awful traverse, bad top speed, /meh/ reverse gear. Everything about the mobility of this tank, is bad. The armor, while fairly decent, and you'll find yourself bouncing a lot of shells, is very unreliable. Any experienced player can knock you out with little effort. Also, while the APDS may have fantastic penetration, the shell does very little damage. Hitting a tank center mass, even from the front, probably wont kill it in one shot, and a lot of times, wont kill the gunner. Which can be very aggravating, since you usually have the first shot due to your stabilizer, which means you /should/ win the engagement. Though, you can avoid this by taking a bit more time to aim for the gun breach or specifically the gunner crew-man in your target, but sometimes this means your enemy will retreat before you can fire your next shot.

Personally, I'm still not sure if I enjoy this tank or not. While its' fun to have a two-plane stabilizer at such a low BR, the mobility and lack of explosive filler kind of puts me off from this tank. Sometimes the APDS does little to no damage, even when you really think you shot well, which is incredibly discouraging. I definitely prefer things like the IS-2 or T26E1-1 over it, but I wont deny that this vehicle is incredibly powerful for its' BR. The combination of a stabilizer and APDS is absolutely something to be feared when fighting the British at 6.7, and since the British have so many other tanks just like the Centurion Mk 3 at this BR, it is 100% worth grinding up to 6.7 Britain.
