 *THEY LURED INNOCENTS IN LIEU OF PROVIDING ‘GIGOLO/MASSEUR SERVICES’ OFFERING HANDSOME SALARY & OTHER

 THEY USED TO POST ADVERTISEMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, RANDOM WHATSAPP TEXT MESSAGES AND DATING APPS.

With the arrest of 04 desperate fraudsters namely, (1) Shubham Ahuja S/o Sh. Narender Ahuja R/o Rajouri Garden, Delhi, (2) Udit Mehta S/o Lt. Rakesh Mehta R/o Subhash Nagar, Delhi, Age 26 years, (3) Neha Chhabra D/o Raju Chhabra R/o Subhash Nagar, Delhi Age 24 years and (4) Archna Ahuja W/o Rajender Ahuja R/o Subhash Nagar, Delhi, Age 44 years, Staff of Cyber PS North-West solved a cheating case registered vide case FIR No. 47/22 u/s 420 IPC PS Cyber and recovered 07 mobile phones, 01 Laptop, ATM Cards & documents connected to the fraud from their possession. They lured innocents in lieu of providing ‘Gigolo/Masseur services’ offering handsome salary & other benefits/incentives. 07 mobile phones, 01 laptop, atm cards & documents recovered. They cheated more than 100 in last 02 years. They demanded money in the name of registration fees, massage kit, hotel booking, etc. They used to post advertisements on social media platforms, random WhatsApp text messages and dating apps.

Brief Facts and Incident Details:-
A complaint was received in PS Cyber North-West in which complainant Sh. Avneet Singh Sandhu, aged 23 years S/o Sh. Gurmeet Singh Sandhu R/o Kingsway Camp, Delhi alleged that he received a WhatsApp message on his mobile from unknown number, offering him a male masseur job to go to people's houses and give them massages on payment basis. He contacted at the given mobile number and he was asked to pay Rs. 3500 for the registration. The complainant paid the amount through Paytm. Further, he was induced to pay Rs. 12,600/- for buying a massage equipment kit, Rs. 15,500/- for preparing an entry card and Rs. 9400/- for booking hotel room etc. For every-payment, the complainant was promised that he will get back whole amount in cash from their clients. After paying Rs. 9400/-, the alleged asked for more money to get another entry card to which the complainant refused and asked to refund his amount. The complainant paid a total amount of Rs. 47,200/- to the alleged persons and no such job was provided to him. Thereafter he realized that he was cheated in lieu of job offer.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 47/22 u/s 420 IPC was registered in Cyber Police Station and investigation was taken up.

Investigation &Team:-
Considering the gravity of offence and nature of incident, a dedicated team led by Insp. Vijender, SHO/ PS Cyber comprising of SI Sunil Chandra, W/SI Mohini, HC Mohit, Ct. Sher Singh was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/Operations and overall supervision of the undersigned. The team was briefed properly and tasked to nab the culprits at the earliest.

The team immediately obtained the beneficiary account details and mounted the technical surveillance. The details were thoroughly scrutinized and sources were deployed to gather local intelligence in order to nab the accused person. Based on information collected and analysis of details, a raid was conducted by the team at Janak Park, Hari Nagar, Delhi from where four accused persons, (1) Shubham Ahuja S/o Sh. Narender Ahuja R/o Rajouri Garden, Delhi, (2) Udit Mehta S/o Lt. Rakesh Mehta R/o Subhash Nagar, Delhi, Age 26 years, (3) Neha Chhabra D/o Raju Chhabra R/o Subhash Nagar, Delhi Age 24 years and (4) Archna Ahuja W/o Rajender Ahuja R/o Subhash Nagar, Delhi, Age 44 years were apprehended and digital evidence related to the instant case were collected, including 07 mobile phones, 01 Laptop, ATM Cards & documents which were later found connected to the fraud in the instant case, from their possession.

During their sustained interrogation, they lured innocents in lieu of providing ‘Gigolo/Masseur services’ offering handsome salary & other benefits/incentives. 07 mobile phones, 01 laptop, atm cards & documents recovered. They cheated more than 100 in last 02 years. They demanded money in the name of registration fees, massage kit, hotel booking, etc. They used to post advertisements on social media platforms, random WhatsApp text messages and dating apps. They used to assure the victims that all the amount will be refunded by their rich female clients, at the time of first meeting in hotel. Accused/mastermind was running his office in rented premises at Janak Park, Hari Nagar, Delhi by paying monthly rent of Rs. 17,000/- per month. He paid a salary of Rs. 20,000/- per month to manager Udit Mehta S/o Lt. Rakesh Mehta and Rs. 15,000/- per month to both Neha Chhabra D/o Raju Chhabra & Archna Ahuja W/o Rajender Ahuja who worked as tele-callers.

Further efforts are being made to trace their possible involvement in other complaints also.
