A group of 60 grade 11 learners from the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS) in Windhoek embarked on a field trip to remove invasive alien plants from among the natural vegetation surrounding Avis dam.
The Head of the Biology Department at the school, Gesche Roxin, explained that this practice started in 2018 but it had to be put on hold during the Covid19 pandemic.
