Convicted in 2020 for the brutal murder and robbery of an elderly woman, Rossomakhin was sentenced to 14 years in prison. But after serving just two years, he joined the infamous Wagner Group to fight in Ukraine.
Pardoned by Vladimir Putin after six months on the frontlines, Rossomakhin returned to his hometown, where his reign of terror began anew. He threatened residents, vandalized property with an axe, and, within days, committed another horrific murder and rape of an 85-year-old woman.
Despite a second conviction and a 23-year sentence, it was revealed in 2024 that Rossomakhin had again joined the military and vanished into the chaos of war.
