Ever since South Australia suffered a state-wide blackout back in 2016, leaving almost a million people in the dark, there's been an argument about what caused it. Was it strong winds which brought down powerlines, or the state's dependence on renewable energy sources such as wind farms? Now the national energy regulator is taking four wind farms to court, alleging they didn't comply with national rules to cope with disturbances like storms. Given the national debate about our future energy mix, it's a case which has big implications.
