gyus im sorry,, my family invited me to see the DEH production in our country some 5 months ago, and at this point my gf hyperfixation was already starting to dwindle, and... well, im in this hell for more than 5 months now. someone save me.

but hey, i'm enjoying this! DEH lowkey fire frfr🔥🔥 (im sorry). it has a lot of problems, but it's a good musical and i got my friends hooked on it too, so you can't stop me now.

no offence to the original broadway show, but the translated adaptation from my country i watched was better😔 if nothing, then for the fact they cut To Break In a Glove. also all the designs for the characters and environments were better. and the translated songs have better lyrics. okay i'll stop being a hater. this will come back to bite me in the back im sure.

all the designs here are based on the ones from the production i watched. i was a bit scared that people wouldn't recognize them or would get mad at me for not using the original designs, but idc tbh. i also posted some art with these designs and people liked them so -\_(ö)_/-. the original jared looks like an american nerd loser, which, he IS one, but i haven't seen a lot of boys like that in my vicinity. i think his design in this production looks more interesting and also actually looks like guys i've met. i've had a few tag rants about this on my tumblr, which you can check at the link in my channel bio-*gets shot*


the animatic itself was ROUGHHHH OMG. i've had this idea for like 2 months, and started making this 3 months ago. took me way too long, and i was in a strong art rut and i couldn't motivate myself to continue. i REALLY wanted to see this done though, so i persevered, and for the last few weeks this has been a delight to work on :3

i sort of wish i added more characters to this (zoe deserved to be in more than one scene my girllll) but i didn't have too many ideas on how to do this, and the musical is about Evan at the end of the day, so this is fine probably. i could always make another video.
