The Best Metal Drummer Ever - Kenneth Schalk - Candiria - Nashville, TN 2001
On a warm summer in 2001 I saw what I consider to be the best concert I've ever seen, Candiria. At a now defunct venue in Antioch south of Nashville, where the rear of the stage was strangely near the entrance and "back stage" was really the front, a few friends and 100 other souls watched one of the tightest sets ever. Through it all their drummer Kenneth Schalk nailed every note but twice for a solid 50 minutes. Unfortunately, in the days before cell phone cameras, our shitty 90's VHS-C shoulder cam ran out of batteries. Here is what remains of that set. Enjoy, it only took me 17 years to upload it to YouTube! ;)
Edit: This was at the Nxt Generation Performance Hall in Antioch Tennessee, south of Nashville.
