SmartPass is distinguished by the following features:

Effectiveness. SmartPass is the only road safety solution of it's kind and has been examined by the Institute of Roads and Bridges, Warsaw University of Technology in terms of effectiveness of increasing safety and improving the comfort of road users. The study confirmed that after applying SmartPass at pedestrian crossings, the number of conflicts decreased, the speed of the car decreased, the number of drivers who let pedestrians through the transition increased, and the waiting time for pedestrians shortened.

Increased safety (drivers). The active road studs are synchronized with vertical pulsating lights which sends light signals to the driver providing better pedestrian visibility at the transition from a long distance. This is especially important in the case of poor visibility, eg during rain or snow. Euroasfalt's research shows that the driver reacts faster to light signals if they are activated by pedestrian traffic and do not shine all the time.

Increased safety (pedestrians). The built-in loudspeaker emits voice signals directed to the pedestrian when the motion sensor recognizes pedestrian traffic. The voice signals "beware of approaching cars" or "be careful" inform the pedestrian that the crossing is a particularly dangerous place on which he should exercise increased caution.

Reduced braking distance. Thanks to ASE System anti-slip system, we provide a shorter braking distance of up to 30%. ASE System is particularly applicable in autumn and winter during rain or snow. ASE System is a properly constructed road surface that ensures high roughness and reduces vehicle slippage.

Monitoring. The high-resolution camera system records pedestrian traffic on the aisle and the movement of cars approaching the passage. In a traffic accident situation, it is easy to determine how an accident happened thanks to recordings.

High durability. Thanks to the use of replaceable active inserts in S-4, the SmartPass cable ensures high durability of the product.

Compliance with applicable law. SmartPass elements have certificates, technical approvals or national technical assessments

Speed ​​measurement. The module provides measurements of the speed of cars in two modes. The first mode is the measurement of the speed of the car when the pedestrian is on the crossing. The second mode is the measurement of the speed of the moving car without the presence of pedestrians on the transition. Euroasfalt's research shows that drivers slow down when they see light signals.

Immediate information about failures. Built-in GSM module and SmartPass integration with the administration portal, ensures constant communication with the road manager, informing by means of short messages about system failures (eg lack of power supply) thanks to which it enables quick response to take up the repair.

Power flexibility. SmartPass can be powered from the municipal electricity network (street lamp, overhead line), as well as using a built-in battery that will provide uninterrupted power for 24 hours.
