Steps to Creating Original Content:
1) Get clear on your goals and direction
What is your world? What does it mean to you? What is the goal you have in mind with building your world? (This is your bible to all decisions you make)
2) Find references that support your vision
Find the top 5 performing creators or brands in your niche and breakdown their top 10 performing reels (Track in an excel document)
3) Moodboard + Shoot Plan
Break down shot selection, grading, vibe, ect. (Milanote is a strong resource to use)
4) Execute + Edit
DaVinci and Capcut are ideal. Study YouTube videos until you can scale into hiring an editor off Upwork. Make sure you have a clear SOP and process and begin training someone who shows promise on a trial edit.
5) Data + Iteration
Use "Later" or "Edits" and track your data. The most important metric is retention in the first 3 seconds. If your content is performing poorly, it can come down to your hook and introductions to your videos. Everyone is ADHD online nowadays.
Tip: Build a hook library, and collect winning hooks from your ideal brands and creators
Content broken down to a repeatable strategy allows you to quickly test and iterate winning formats then scale once you begin converting capital.
