With the extra challenges of not restarting, fleeing or losing any fight.
The reason as to why I decided to take these extra challenges is because the Battle Arena is weird. Unlike other ordeals of this game where you have to complete them without breaks and dying, here is the complete opposite; you can fail the battles as much as you want, you can save between them and restart the fights without any kind of penalty, and these things make the Battle Arena a joke. I seriously don't understand why this decision was taken. It is very good that you are free to choose the order of the battles but I wish that at least on higher difficulties you wouldn't be able to flee, save or die.
Doing this extra challenge was honestly worth it, I had a lot of fun routing and practicing, I will definitely do this with the remaining arenas and I highly advice you to do the same since it honestly feels like a better way to play it.
My general way to play it is by going from the most inconsistent and hard fights to the easier ones. My equipment varied a little from fight to fight but the beginning of each fight is the exact same, set up by Defending and slowly work my way from there. The Turtle Gi is a godsend for this since it can boost almost all of your stats the closer you are to being killed, this in combination with flairs like Fairy and Cat Tail can ensure NoLegs to survive while getting the necessary boosts to defeat the enemies.
Fallens
This wave can be very problematic since the Fallens are deadly; the Lost ones can Freeze you and basically kill you, while the Crucified one can use one attack that either inflicts instadeath or damages you hard enough that you might as well be considered dead. Using the Ion Cannon is invaluable since stunning them increases you chances at victory.
Origami
Honestly, the Book Worms are the problem here, they are annoying as sin since they can inflict Enchanted and spawn more Worms, and killing them can be difficult since you have to take into account the Origami Dragon, but once they are down the battle is much more manageable.
Mirrors
There are arguments as to why this wave is actually the most difficult and there is a part of me that still believes that. In order to counter the reflect damage of the Mirrors you have to be resistant to the type of element that you attack with, in my case I gave myself Fire resistance so the Burn can slowly damage them while doing minimal damage to me. However, this fight is still very inconsistent.
Boulders
This fight is only long but not that complicated, you only need to be able to know when to attack and when to defend given that they can inflict both Syphon and Tired to hinder you.
Skeleton Cats
The strategy to use is to stall a little so you can get an Attack boost and then use Tsunami to beat them. The problem is that they increase their accuracy and thus are able to hit NoLegs way easier which in combination with their bulkiness can signify death if not handled correctly.
Dolls
Raging Force is actually usable? What kind of blasphemy is this? Anyways, you need to disable the Lance Doll because otherwise it can spam the healing attack and waste your time. On the other hand, the way to beat the NoLegs Doll is to simply get Morale and Auto-Revive, you will be able to tank the reflect damage and survive his attack if he hits you afterwards.
Cats
Again, the strategy is to stall to increase your attack and then use The Destroyer to clear. This wave is just annoying because of the Worms but besides that is not problematic.
Slimes
The only thing to worry is that if the Slimes start to counter attack or inflict Scorch, the former can be countered by having Auto-Revive, while the latter needs you to use Purify.
Bats
I decided to play very defensively because I lost one run to these bastards and I didn't want to do it again. You need to Defend as much as possible and attack when given the chance, if you don't rush this fight then it is in the bag.
Idols
The easiest one, but still I wanted to play extremely safe. Again, stall at the beginning to get the necessary boosts and use the Ion Cannon to stun them and Burn them aftwards to beat them.
This one was difficult since NoLegs is frail as wet paper and each turn that the enemy attacks feels like an emotional rollercoaster where you hope they don't hit you. Nevertheless, this challenge was still very satisfying to do.
