Google My Maps is pretty great. It let's you create maps with markers, shapes and routes. Plus you can measure areas.

But I often find Google My Maps does not have enough customization options — which means the maps it creates don't look that nice.

That's why Karl and I created Atlist: a tool for creating beautiful custom Google Maps.
