Before surgery, a complete and up-to-date diagnosis is necessary. Why imaging before surgery is so crucial – especially after chemotherapy or a long time since the initial diagnosis.
✔ Chemotherapy before surgery?
For osteosarcomas and Ewing's sarcomas, the combination of surgery and chemotherapy is standard. Prof. Andreou explains when chemotherapy is useful, how it works, and why it does not always lead to visible tumor reduction.

✔ Finding the right center – that's crucial
Surgery for bone sarcoma should be performed by experienced professionals. Why specialized sarcoma centers (e.g., certified by OncoMap or EURACAN) deliver better results – and how to find such centers.

✔ Tumor prostheses and reconstruction
