Sky News contributor Kristin Tate says US President Donald Trump acquiring Greenland and ending the NATO alliance wouldn’t be “the worst thing in the world”.
“The way he’s doing this has a lot of potential downside, it could isolate the United States internationally, you know, it could erode trust with our allies,” Ms Tate told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“It also kind of effectively ends NATO, how can you maintain a defence alliance when one member of the United States is aggressively targeting another like Denmark.
“On the other hand, you know, NATO has sort of been on life support anyway, so having it effectively end wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.”
