On June 23, 2016 52% of UK citizens voted to leave the European Union and declare independence. However, today only 33% of UK citizens think Brexit was a good idea. To date Brexit is estimated to have cost the UK economy 200 billion USD of economic activity. Much of this is driven by reductions in foreign direct investment and trade.
As citizens catch-up with the harsh realities of decoupling from the EU, many Brexit cheerleaders are changing their tune. What was once seen as a beacon of hope has now turned into an economic nightmare. So we ask the question: Was Brexit Worth It?
