Scar's Shadow, Part One

Описание: Sooo...I decided to make a little Lion King thingy on what things would be like if Scar actually managed to kill Simba. So here's storyline to help explain the vid, as things move rather fast.

When Scar reveals to Simba that he killed Mufasa, Scar quickly pushes Simba down to his death like he did to his father. Simba dies, leaving the lionesses full of despair. Sarabi goes to pay her last respects to her son, while the hyenas snap at her contemptuously. Zira is overjoyed the Scar remains king, and she rallies a few of the lionesses who enjoyed his rule to roar in triumph. Scar ascends the throne once more, and roars to demonstrate his victory. The lionesses roar back, as their custom demands.

A little while later, their son, Prince Nuka, is born. Nuka is not Zira and Scar's ideal child. Zira became pregnant again, but she and Scar grew disappointed when she gave birth to a lioness, and not a lion who showed more promise than Nuka. They named the young lioness Vitani.

Not much longer, Scar stumbled across a cub Vitani's age wandering around the Pridelands. Though Scar was not known to be compassionate, there was something in this cub that reminded him of himself when he was Taka, raised by the harsh King Ahadi. Scar took him in and named him Kovu, then decided to select him as the future king rather than Nuka. Because of this, Scar became very protective of Kovu, while Nuka was pushed aside and ignored (much like the brothers Mufasa and Taka, ironically). This is where our story begins.

Kovu was accepted into the pride not long ago, so he is still getting used to their ways. When he asks if he can go, Scar tells him no and then leaves Zira to care for him. When Nuka catches a glimpse of Kovu, he cannot help but make fun of him, as he is outraged and bitter at not being chosen to become king. Vitani stands up for Kovu, snarling at Nuka, "Wanna fight?". But Nuka easily picks her up and throws her to the ground, laughing. Then he corners Kovu with a cruel glint in his eye, before Zira interferes and roars at Nuka. Kovu, shocked by her cruelty, falls silent.

Nuka pretends he was just joking around, but Zira doesn't believe him. She takes Kovu safely inside and coddles him once more before returning to punish Nuka for attacking Kovu. Kovu feels sorry for his adoptive brother and whispers, "Bye" as Zira takes Kovu away yet again.
