​Today, we’re starting the full restoration of my Predom Microlite—an incredibly rare, early Polish caravan that I picked up for just £800. This particular model is a pre-1983 version featuring leaf spring suspension, making it a true classic before they were rebranded as "Freedom" for the UK market.

​Exterior Assessment: Evaluating the peeling paint, faded white wall tires, and general wear from years of sitting outside.
​Preparation & Sanding: Taping off the windows and trim before sanding the entire fiberglass body to create a smooth surface for the new paint.
​Painting Strategy: Starting with the "pop top" and roof to avoid leaning on wet paint, and working our way down the sides in the scorching heat.
​The Transformation: Applying a fresh, vibrant blue coat that completely changes the look of this micro-camper.
​History of the Build: Looking back at how the caravan looked when the previous owner towed it behind a matching T5 Transporter.
​Future Plans: Teasing the custom graphics and interior restoration that will follow to make this caravan truly "mint" for the show season.
​It's a long, hot day of work, but the results are already looking "crisp" and ready for some custom graphics.
