On my journey toward college and competing in Track in college, the first process is recruitment. I have been in contact with several coaches mostly from D1 Universities, but a few D2 and D3 as well. I have narrowed my choices down to my top 5 based on what I want to study in college, the events I want to compete in, and the enthusiasm of the coaches and team I meet. I would like to find a school that wants me to be a part of their team as much as I want to be there. I want to find coaches who can help me accomplish my goals and where I feel at home and comfortable.
Utah State University and Coach Rasmussen were my first stop. Coach Ras found me at the Willie Williams meet at U of A last season, and he sought me out. During our first meeting, he mentioned an official visit. It was only fitting that USU and Coach Rasmussen be my first visit.
