But with aching ribs and leaky eyes
Ill take the jest in stride.
And just keep howling
As the moon rises to its peak.

Cackling mad as a geek,
Come gawk at the sideshow freak.
Everybody scoffing now,
Although nobody should be.
Desperately trying to banish this unease
With these illogical reactions.
From this unnatural tension crave release.
Levity's a magic tool,
Power of the fool.
Transmutation of the darkness into light
But I must pay heed to sensibilities
Or forfeit my humanity,
For full detachment bears an awful price.
