So this video is taken from footage I recorded on the 25th June 2024. I had a half day off so I decided to fish a small stream for the first time this season. As I was fishing the lower reaches of the burn, I also wanted to try fly fishing in the sea for sea trout. The evening I booked one of Portree Angling Association's boats on Loch Fada for the first time this season in hope of connecting with some of the resident wild brown trout. It turned out to be a really good, varied & challenging days fishing.

TACKLE USED

Steam/burn - 3 wt rod, WF3 floating line, small black klinkhamer
Sea - 6/7 wt rod, WF7 floating line, Mike's Sandeel & a Peter Ross
Loch - 5 wt rod, WF5 floating line, single Mayfly pattern caught the two better fish. The smaller fish I caught that evening & not on camera, fell to a small bead head bibio & a bibio snatcher
