With each lens discontinuation the rumor mill starts up again. The hamsters jump onto the wheel and start running to provide power to their broadcast system, which always announces "PENTAX IS DOOMED! PENTAX IS DONE FOR!" Well, I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but PENTAX is just doing business as usual. The business is bigger than just one consumer, 1 or 10, or even 50 people buying a lens just isn't going to generate a return of/on investment for it to make sense continuing to produce a lens that just isn't making enough money in return to justify the cost of production. It's simple business.
