This is yet another reference video that covers Warzones Aim Assist. Of the three Aim Assist settings, Standard has the most noticeable effect.
****
NOTE: From other test user information, the trigger for Aim Assist to work, appears to be analog input. One individual even tested Aim Assist whilst shooting at an enemy to test for Recoil Control, vs Mouse and Keyboard, and there was no observable difference between the two. In short, no recoil assist with Aim Assist.
This users data pretty much is similar to what I've observed with regards to how it drags/pulls the Aim Assist users aim near/around the enemy.

It is hit or miss at best, and not reliable from what I have observed (pleas see NOTE above). Some times it works, some times it doesn't. A few times I was able to get a pull from the Aim Assist whilst not ADSing, but most of the time I had to be ADS'd.
0:00 - Intro
5:32 - My first observation of a pull from Aim Assist on Standard
7:26 - It just started working more and more often
8:16 (stops working again)
8:36 - Aim Assist Drag like effect
9:08 (stops working again)
9:27 - Aim Assist fast Whip 1
10:23 - Aim Assist fast Whip 2
10:30 (stops working again)
10:53 (me trying to figure out if ADSing onto the character helps in the Aim Assist - spoiler, it doesn't)
11:30 - Enemy moves in front of my aim, it appears my aim is being "pulled to" the enemy, but this is actually a "collision course" scenario, where as the player crosses my path of aim, the Aim Assist appears to pull my aim towards the enemy, it appears as such because both Aim Assist is kicking in, and the enemy is crossing my path. Once the player moves by, the Aim Assist tapers off unless the user gives input via the controller.
15:40 - Having him run circles, it trails/drags my aim around, but tapers off
17:05 - Aim Assist jerking my focus off a distant enemy, due to closer enemy
17:17 (by "lock" I mean focus - so lock=focus)
19:00 (I had to rewatch this 50+ times. I ended up opening OBS, made two instances of my monitor, narrowed my hand cam and aim section, flapped the hand cam window upside down, played it frame by frame, etc. 2 things; 1) no it's not a aim lock, 2) I start to break my aim 1 frame before the instance I call a 'trigger' and is visible as my aim moves off the enemy one frame before and is visible by thumb movement on joystick in the diagonal direction I was moving. This video quality should be good enough, you too can do the same analysis with OBS.)
21:47 - Aim Assist jerking my focus off a distant enemy, due to closer enemy
23:11 - Aim Assist Disabled - 25M-150M
31:07 - Aim Assist Standard - 25M-150M
37:00 - Only time at a distance I noticed Aim Assist, and it was on Standard.
41:41 - Aim Assist Precision - 25M-150M
53:17 - Aim Assist Focused - 25M-150M (I forgot to press the start button)
I'll test Aim Assist further when time allows, if things change I'll upload a new video.
