Pakistan, US Sign Landmark MoUs on Critical Minerals and Logistics to Boost Investment & Growth

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif witnessed the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with major U.S. firms — United States Strategic Metals (USSM) and Mota-Engil.

The Frontier Works Organization (FWO), Pakistan’s largest critical minerals miner, signed an MoU with USSM, a leading U.S. processor, recycler, and miner based in Missouri. The collaboration will focus on rare earth elements and other minerals crucial for defense, aerospace, and technology industries.

In a separate agreement, Pakistan’s National Logistics Corporation signed an MoU with Mota-Engil Group, a global leader in infrastructure development. The partnership covers logistics services, infrastructure projects, and value-added facilities, with emphasis on technology transfer, job creation, and sustainable growth.

Officials said the deals mark a milestone in Pakistan’s efforts to attract global investment, modernize its economy, and open new avenues for innovation and long-term growth.
