A handheld radio is designed to use the least amount of power possible. A N6705B DC Power Analyzer with a N6782A SMU and 14585A software can be used to accurately measure the current in each state. In the video, you can see the current used at turn-on, receive mode and active transmit. Seamless current ranging allows the widely varying current to be accurately measured.
