A deputy with Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was on patrol when he made contact with several individuals on a boat to conduct a resource inspection.

In the end, the Erin was charged with 9 misdemeanor counts of possession of undersized crawfish. She hired an attorney and initially pled not guilty. Before the case went to trial, she pled no contest to all charges and her adjudication was withheld. She was placed on probation for 6 months and ordered to complete 48 hours of community service with the option to buyout at $10 per hour with a donation to a Florida Wildlife fund. She was also ordered to pay $848.00 in costs and fees.
