Step-by-step guide to adding a shape:

1. Open: your Microsoft Word document.

2.Click the Insert tab on the ribbon.

3. In the Illustrations group, select Shapes.

4. A dropdown menu with various categories of shapes will appear.

5.Select: the shape you want by clicking on it.

6.Your cursor will turn into a plus sign with crossed lines.

7.Click and drag: your mouse on the page to draw the shape to your desired size.
