In this reaction, I break down the argument that women are expected to work full time, raise children full time, and maintain the home full time — and why that pressure is real. But I also ask the harder question: if you’ve divorced three times and initiated each one, at what point does accountability enter the conversation?
We are living in a time where independence is celebrated, but partnership requires sacrifice. Marriage is not a scam. It is a structure. And structures only work when both people understand their role inside of it.
