As custodian of the city's brand, PEOPLE MAKE GLASGOW, Scott Taylor, Chief Executive of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) speaks about development of the brand and GCMB's role as the destination marketing organisation (DMO) for the city of Glasgow.
GCMB works with partners, stakeholders and businesses to position and promote Glasgow across national and international markets as a world class city in which to live, work, study, invest and visit.
GCMB is engaged in a wide range of activity aimed at delivering economic and social benefits for Glasgow including leisure, event and business tourism. This activity comprises:
strategic destination marketing communications campaigns in target markets
development and implementation of the city's Brand bid for, attracting and managing high profile major events, conventions and exhibitions
delivery of special projects on behalf of the city
