The Casio piano keyboard is an electronic musical instrument that works with different keys and internal circuits. Sometimes a common fault occurs called the bottom key problem, where some keys at the lower side of the keyboard stop working or do not produce sound.
This problem can happen due to dust, dirt, rubber pad damage, or PCB track issues inside the keyboard. When a key is pressed, a rubber contact touches the PCB and sends a signal to the main board. If the rubber contact becomes dirty or worn out, the signal is not sent properly and the key does not work.
To repair this problem, the technician first opens the bottom cover of the Casio piano carefully. Then the keyboard section is checked. The rubber contact pads and PCB board are cleaned using a soft brush or electronic cleaner. If any rubber pad is damaged, it may need replacement.
After cleaning and checking all the keys, the keyboard is assembled again and tested. In most cases, cleaning the contact pads solves the bottom key problem and the piano works normally again.
