Condition: Various, with ruts in places.
Note: Parts are closed by TRO to any motor vehicle with more than two wheels. A fantastic ride and very popular with both walkers and horse riders. Part of the byway ends abruptly 500m from Combe Hill where it becomes a bridleway for 1.5 miles. This part is best bypassed by riding down the hill to East Woodhay before ascending back to rejoin the route at the start of the TRO part.
