Making delicious third wave specialty coffee at home is made possible with the Barista Touch™ Impress. From the water temperature and coffee grind to the extraction pressure and milk purge, follow this step-by-step guide for a smooth machine setup so that you can start to master all your café favourites.

Directions:
1. It is important you wash and dry all accessories and parts before placing them into the machine.
2. Soak the filter in water and set it aside for 5 minutes. After it has been soaked, set the new filter to the current month and pop it into the filter holder.
3. Set the filter into the water tank and fill the tank with cold water.
4. Check your water hardness by dipping the provided test strip into the tank (you’ll need this later).
5. Place the hopper into the top of the machine, ensuring you lock it into place.
6. Insert the water tank back into the machine.
7. Then, choose either the 2-cup or 1-cup filter basket to complement your coffee taste or strength.
8. Now you are ready to power up your Barista Touch™ Impress, where you will need to follow the step-by-step instructions on the screen to guide you through the first use setup.
9. When prompted, enter the result of the water hardness test as this will allow the machine to remind you about descaling and changing the filter when necessary.
