זהו פרק שישי מתוך עשרה פרקים העוקב אחר תהליך של יצירה חדשה ובתוך כך מספר את סיפורו המיוחד של המרכז לתיאטרון עכו .
דויד מעיין מייסד המרכז לתיאטרון עכו, חוזר אליו לאחר כ 30 שנות יצירה וחיים על מנת ליצור יצירה תיאטרונית חדשה. ״מתאוששים״ נוצרה בשנים 2022-2023 בתוך שגרת עבודה ויצירה של תיאטרון הפועל בתוך מציאות ישראלית מורכבת.
אירועי אוקטובר והמלחמה שפרצה בעקבות האירועים הללו, לא אפשרו הבאת התהליך כולו לכדי מפגש עם קהל כיצירה תיאטרונית.
מתוך התיעוד של כל התהליך בוידיאו, שצולם על ידו, יצר מעיין סידרה זו. הסדרה כולה מנגישה לקהל הרחב גישה למציאות החיים של חבורת אמנים בעיר עכו בתקופה המצויינת לעיל, השוקדים על יצירה חדשה, שמשמשת להם גם מקלט, גם מפלט. וגם שיקוף של מציאות חיים שזורמת במקביל ליד, בתוך והרחק

Episode Six
This is the sixth episode in a ten-part series that follows the creation of a new theatrical work, while also telling the singular story of the Acco Theatre Center.
David Maayan, founder of the Acco Theatre Center, returns to it after nearly 30 years of artistic work and life elsewhere, in order to create a new stage production. ‘Recovering’ was developed during 2022–2023, within the everyday routine of a theatre operating inside a complex and fragile Israeli reality.
The events of October and the war that erupted in the wake of those eventsmade it impossible to bring the entire process to a full encounter with an audience as a completed theatrical work.
Out of extensive video documentation of the creative process—filmed by Maayan himself—this series was born. The series offers the general public rare access to the lived reality of a group of artists in the city of Acco during this period: artists devoted to creating a new work that becomes, at once, a shelter, a refuge, and a mirror of a life unfolding alongside, within, and far beyond the stage.
