Interventi pro-senescenza e creazione micro-habitat #02 - Cercinatura e diradamento

Описание: Questo è il secondo episodio di una breve serie di video dedicati ad approfondire le tecniche di realizzazione degli interventi pro-senescenza e creazione microhabitat realizzati dal progetto LIFE SPAN all’interno della Foresta del Cansiglio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia e nella Foresta di Sailershausen in Germania.

I video di questa serie sono pensati per i tecnici coinvolti nella gestione o pianificazione delle aree forestali, con l’obiettivo di fornire dei dettagli utili alla replicabilità degli interventi realizzati nel progetto.

All’interno delle SHS (Saproxilic Habitat Site) realizzate dal LIFE SPAN, con appositi interventi, è stato accelerato il processo di formazione di alberi habitat e aumentata la quantità e la differenziazione del legno morto a terra in modo da creare strutture chiave per la nidificazione e la crescita degli organismi saproxilici.

La SHS è uno strumento di selvicoltura sostenibile multifunzionale, che combina aspetti ecologici, economici e sociali nella stessa area. Le foreste produttive beneficeranno delle SHS in termini di stoccaggio del carbonio, ciclo dei nutrienti e diversità biologica, contribuendo allo stesso tempo alla conservazione della biodiversità, con azioni che porteranno un incremento delle popolazioni di saproxilici grazie alla creazione di nuovi habitat ed al miglioramento di quelli esistenti.

This is the second episode of a short video series dedicated to exploring the techniques used for pro-senescence interventions and microhabitat creation carried out by the LIFE SPAN project within the Cansiglio Forest in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Sailershausen Forest in Germany.

The videos in this series are designed for professionals involved in forest area management or planning, with the aim of providing useful details to facilitate the replication of the interventions implemented in the project.

Within the SHS (Saproxylic Habitat Sites) created by LIFE SPAN, specific interventions have been carried out to accelerate the formation of habitat trees and to increase both the quantity and diversity of deadwood on the ground. This helps create key structures for the nesting and growth of saproxylic organisms.

The SHS is a multifunctional sustainable forestry tool that combines ecological, economic, and social aspects within the same area. Productive forests will benefit from SHS in terms of carbon storage, nutrient cycling, and biodiversity, while also contributing to the conservation of biodiversity. These actions will lead to an increase in saproxylic populations by creating new habitats and improving existing ones.
