Hosted by a Apiwe Hotele, fellow at the Young African Leaders Programme (YALP) of the Florence School of Transnational Governance, the series sheds light on the challenges and solutions faced by aspiring leaders in Africa starting from an encounter with their personal hero or heroine, that is, the person who has inspired them personally and professionally and guided them on their career path.

In this episode, we meet 2023 Young African Leader Fellow Johanna Linus. Johanna Linus is a geologist with extensive experience in the sustainable development of mineral resources.
In her conversation with Apiwe, Johanna shares how Sam Nujoma, first President of Namibia, inspired her journey, what it means for a women to work in a male-dominated environment and the importance of rolemodels in pursuing ones dreams.
