পরশুরাম বা রাজশেখর বসু বিখ্যাত হন তার কৌতুক, ব্যাঙ্গ এবং মজার গল্প লিখে। ওনার লেখা গড্ডালিকা বইটি প্রথম প্রকাশ হয়। রাজশেখর বসু একজন রাসভারি,সফল বিজ্ঞানি মানুষ ছিলেন অথচ পরশুরাম নামে লিখে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেন মানুষকে হাস্য রস দিয়েই। বাংলা সাহিত্য বিশিষ্ট এইজন্য যে বাংলা ভাষায় সবরকমের লেখা পাওয়া যায়। লেখকরা নিজেদের প্রকাশ করার যে অলিখিত প্রতিযোগিতায় ছিলেন সেটি আসলে বাংলা সাহিত্যকেই প্রবল্ভাবে সাহায্য করেছে এবং বাংলা ভাষার প্রভুত উন্নতি করেন।

এই গল্পটি এককথায় আজকের সমাজের জন্য খুবই প্রাসঙ্গিক। ব্যাবসাদার শ্রেণীর নিজস্ব যে জাত থাকে তা বাঙ্গালি, মারোয়ারী কোন ভেদ নেই। এই গল্পে পরশুরাম খুব সহজ সরল ভাবেই তা বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছেন। গল্পটি শুনুন এবং মজা নিন।

Parshuram or Rajsekhar Basu was famous for his satire and comedy. His written Gaddalika was the first published book. Rajsekhar Basu was an earnest and successful scientist, but he also wrote books under the pseudonym Parshuram that were hilarious and comic. Bengali literature is special because Bangla literature encompasses a diverse range of writings. The unwritten competition between authors who could express themselves more effectively to readers made Bangla literature unique and contributed significantly to its growth.
