Located in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains of California, and named after its dense population of the world's largest trees, the Sequoia National Forest boasts 38 distinct Giant Sequoia groves inside of its 1.1 million acre boundary.
The backpacking route in this video was selected by TRVRS Outdoors Ambassador Jeremy Boggs and based off of Andrew Skurka's Kings Canyon High Basin Route. It begins at the Southern Terminus and follows Silliman Creek up to an unnamed Pass just south of the Kings-Kaweah Divide. From this pass, the route parallels the divide before dropping into a high plateau called the Tablelands.
